Galvanising Process




Hot dip galvanising is an immersion process where steel sections and fabrications undergo the following operations:


Hot caustic degreasing
Hydrochloric acid pickling
Rinsing
Prefluxing in zinc ammonium chloride solution
Hot dip galvanising
Quenching

Removal of oil, organic materials, selected mill primers and paint


Removal of rust and mill scale

Removal of pickling acid residues


Surface conditioning


At 450-460°C
